See in game instructions for keyboard commands. 

To add trains: be in system mode 'Maint' and ensure the turntable block is 'off'. Set the turntable 'To Mech'. Click add trains. Once the train(s) are on the turntable, rotate the turntable 'To Main'. Activate the turntable block. The cars will now be added.

To remove trains: Be in system mode 'Maint' and when the train you wish to remove is approaching turn the turntable block 'off' to hold it on the turntable. Then set the turntable 'To Mech'. Click remove train. Once the train(s) have parked in the mech bay, rotate the turntable 'To Main', and activate the turntable block to continue operating.
